Melsa Mangold is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sport Management at the University of Texas at Austin and is expected to graduate in Spring 2028. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Boise State University. Melsa began dancing and participating in gymnastics at the age of 5 and grew up in Southern California, where she trained and competed in a highly competitive dance environment. Throughout her childhood, she attended numerous regional and national competitions, developing a strong technical foundation and a passion for performance.
During her time at Boise State, Melsa was a four-year member of the Boise State Mane Line Dance Team. She competed all four years, with a strong emphasis on game-day performance and pom, while also contributing to the team's success at the collegiate level. During her career, the Mane Line won two Division IA National Championships in Jazz and Hip Hop, creating some of her most memorable experiences as both an athlete and teammate.
Melsa's teaching philosophy is centered on creating a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment where every dancer feels supported and confident in their abilities. She believes that dance is about more than technique. It is an opportunity to build confidence, develop discipline, and foster meaningful relationships. Melsa strives to help each student grow at their own pace while emphasizing strong fundamentals, creativity, and a genuine love for movement. Her goal is for every dancer to leave class feeling accomplished, inspired, and excited to continue learning both inside and outside the studio.
