About
For ages 6-7
Students in this age group will participate in a pre-audition two days before the official audition. During this session, they will learn a dance combo that they’ll be performing at the audition. Video of the dance combo will be sent to parents that same night. During Auditions they will be performing the combination, plus some technique across the floor or in center.
***Pre-auditions are exclusively for ages 6–7.***
For ages 8+
On audition day, they will learn a combination that they’ll perform in front of the judges for scoring.
Dancers will also be asked to demonstrate technique in across-the-floor combos or center technique work that is age/skill appropriate.

Please attend auditions based on your dancer’s age as of August 1. If you have questions on aging for your dancer, please email tarrytowndance@gmail.com. Dancers are allowed to audition and be part of both Dance Force and Dance Force Dynasty teams.

This year, we will not be accepting video submissions for makeup auditions. All dancers must attend an in-person makeup audition to maintain fairness and integrity in the audition process. This ensures that choreography is not shared with others ahead of time.
Dancers attending a make-up audition will receive their audition combination one day prior to their audition. The combinations will not be the same as the one used during the original audition date, but it will maintain the same skill sets, movement quality, and style we are looking for.
