About Mary Kate
MaryKate is a dancer from Friendswood, Texas, with a strong background in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and drill-style technique including kick and pom. She began dancing at age 12 and quickly discovered a passion that would shape her life for years to come.
In high school, she was a member of the Wranglerettes drill team, serving as an officer her junior year and captain her senior year. Leading her team was one of the most meaningful experiences of her life and sparked her desire to teach and mentor younger dancers. She began giving private lessons to girls preparing for drill team tryouts, helping them build both confidence and skill.
She went on to attend Texas A&M University, where she earned her degree in Marketing from Mays Business School. During her time there, she served as Songfest Chair for two years, organizing a large-scale sorority dance competition that raised money for philanthropy. After graduating in 2025, she moved to Austin to begin a career in tech sales, while continuing to pursue her love of dance through teaching.
Her teaching philosophy is rooted in joy, confidence, and encouragement. She hopes to create a positive space where young dancers feel inspired, supported, and excited to grow.
