About Navaizsa
Navaisza is a dance major at the University of Texas at Austin. Starting dance at the young age of three years old, Navaizsa has carried a love of dance throughout her entire life. She began her dance journey at Artistic Motion Dance Academy- where she would continue her practice all the way to high school graduation- under the direction of Angela McGarity and other AMDA instructors. Around the age of five, she joined the competition team and never looked back. From that point on, dance was the focal point of Navaizsa’s life. Frequently spending over twenty hours in the studio every week during high school, she trained in a wide variety of genres including ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, pointe, acro, hip-hop, and musical theater. During her sophomore year of high school, she received a scholarship from Monsters of Hip Hop convention to take classes for free at Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, California. Upon using that scholarship during spring break of her junior year of high school, Navaizsa’s spark for dance burned brighter than ever. In the same year, she reached a turning point in realizing her passion specifically for hip-hop and commercial dance. Shortly after, she began teaching dance at AMDA, as well as choreographing for younger students on the studio’s competition teams. Sadly, at the start of the second semester of her senior year of high school, Navaizsa suffered a complete tear of her ACL and partial tear of her LCL- undergoing surgery and being unable to compete in her senior season. However, instead of diminishing her spirits for the industry, her injury only inspired her passion more. She was able to make a full recovery in a shorter period than expected due to much diligence. As she was getting cleared to dance again, she was hired as an instructor and choreographer at Liberty Dance Center in Bastrop, Texas in her first semester at UT. It was here that she met connections that would lead her to her first company opportunity- BSCT Heads Crew- who she competed with at World of Dance in Dallas 2025. Going into her sophomore year of high school, she has auditioned and been accepted to Project A- a company out of Even Ground in Austin- where she continues to train alongside her dance curriculum in school, as well as teach and choreograph for multiple studios between the Austin and DFW areas.
