Jayla is currently pursuing a BS in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin. She trained in gymnastics for seven years and played piano for nine, where she developed a passion for music and performance before beginning her dance journey as a freshman in high school. There, she participated in both drill team and competitive dance, eventually serving as co-captain of her drill team during her senior year.

During her time on drill team, she won two national titles and was awarded All-Star honors at MA Dance Camp and ShowMakers of America Camp. Since then, she serves on the dance staff for ShowMakers of America and is currently a member of the Texas Pom Squad, cheering on the Texas Longhorns and representing the university with pride.
