Shannon Best

Shannon Best grew up outside of Louisville, Kentucky where she was introduced to dance and gymnastics at the age of 4. In middle school, she auditioned for her schools competitive dance team and fell in love. She went on to competitive All-Star dance teams while in high school, traveling to Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, and Florida for competitions. She was a member and choreographer for her school's show choir, along with being an active member in the drama department. After graduating high school, she attended Western Kentucky University where she received a Varsity Dance Team scholarship and was a Musical Theatre major. She has taught tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and tumbling for ages 3 to 18. In 2007, Shannon moved to Nashville, TN and became a member of the NFL's Tennessee Titans cheerleading team. At the season's conclusion, she moved back to Louisville to teach at Studio 4 in LaGrange, Kentucky and choreographed competitive routines for many middle school and high school dance teams. Shannon came to Austin in 2011 to further her career in dance and has since been a member of the Austin City Showgirls and the Other Guys Dance Company.
