Leigh Kosloski (“Lily”) has over 15 years teaching experience and over 20 years of training in classical ballet. She began her studies with Ballet Northeast, under the direction of Peter and Kristen Degnan. She then continued her dance education with the acclaimed Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, under the direction of Marcia Dale Weary. As a student she has worked with Darla Hoover, Deborah Wingert, Tina LeBlanc, Melinda Howe, Frank Galvez, Patricia Sorrell, Robert Steele and other world-renown dancers. As a teen Lily was accepted into several exclusive summer programs for pre-professional dancers at the Boston Ballet, School of American Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet and The Rock School. As a professional dancer, Lily has danced with the Boston Ballet II and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet under the direction of Joe Fritz. Her training includes Vaganova, Cecchetti and French schools of ballet. Her repertoire includes all major classical and contemporary ballets. Lily is very excited to share her passion and love of ballet with students of all ages. Having had her career end due to a reoccurring knee injury, Lily is very particular about proper alignment and muscle engagement. She also enjoys sharing the artistry of dance as a form of expression and encourages her students to feel the music with every movement.
