Tuition Policies

Tuition is due in full by the first day of class. If tuition is not paid in full by the end of the first month, your child will not be able to participate in class until payment is received. Tarrytown Dance does not pro-rate for late registrants or missed classes.

There is a $25.00 late fee on all accounts not paid in full by the end of the first month of classes. Late fees will be enforced.

There is a $20.00 returned check fee.

Tarrytown Dance DOES NOT mail statements until an account is considered past due and late fees apply.

For students who drop their class, a 50% refund will be granted for the remaining full months left in the semester.
Class Policies

Class changes and drops MUST be submitted to the office in writing.

Tarrytown Dance reserves the right to cancel classes with low enrollment.

Students are placed in class according to age and ability. Instructors have the right to move your child if they feel that another level is more appropriate.

Missed classes may be made up by attending another comparable during the week. Instructor permission must be received before a make-up class may be attended.

For our dancers’ safety, students may not be dropped at the studio more than five minutes before class time and must be picked up promptly after class. Young dancers may not be left unattended at any time.

Any student who is more than ten minutes late may be asked to sit and observe class by the instructor.

All instructors reserve the right to ask a student who is disrupting class to leave.

Observers and parents are not allowed to disrupt the instructor/class at any time unless there is an emergency.

Please schedule meetings with instructors through the office. During and between class times instructors are not permitted to leave their classes unattended to speak to parents. It is best to meet privately when the instructor may spend adequate time discussing your questions/concerns.

Absolutely no gum, food, or drinks are allowed in the dance rooms.

How do I register for classes?
You can print a registration form from the Registration page and mail it or drop it by the studio along with your $35.00 registration payment.
You can also fax the form to 476-7715 and pay your
registration fee on-line on the Registration page. You will receive a confirmation
e-mail once your registration has been processed.

How do I find out class rates?
You can either call the studio at 512-476-7715 or e-mail laurie@tarrytowndance.com for current class rates.

How do I pay my tuition?
Tuition is due on the first day of classes and can be paid by check, by stopping in the studio with your credit card, or you can pay with your credit card on-line on the
Registration page.

Can I watch my dancer’s
class(es)?
We do not allow anyone to watch classes from inside the dance rooms; however, there are viewing windows provided to allow you to watch your dancer.
We will hold a demonstration week the final week of December
classes.

What should my child wear to class?

Is the studio open on holidays such as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day?
If you go to the studio Events Calendar page you will be able to see the studio closing dates for the entire year.

What if my child wants to drop a class?
All class cancellations must be received by the office in writing. If a class is dropped within the first two weeks of the semester, you may receive a full tuition refund. After the first two weeks of the semester, you will be able to receive a 50% refund for the remaining months of class.
