BT Combo (Ballet/Tap)
This combination class provides basic principles in ballet & tap to children ages 3 to 7. Dancers will learn ballet positions, ballet terminology, and elementary ballet movement such as plies, tendus, bourres, and passes. Students will learn simple tap steps such as shuffles and shuffle ball change.  

BT Combo II 
Class that moves faster than a regular ballet and tap class.  This class is designed for the young dancer who learns quickly and has at least one year of experience.

Ballet
TD offers a classical ballet program to students 6 years and older. Dancers will learn ballet technique through barre and center work. Combinations will become progressively more complicated as the dancer excels.  Students who are ready for pointe work will be notified by the instructor.    

Pointe
This class is by invitation only.  New students wishing to take this class will be evaluated by their instructor.  Students are required to take at least one other ballet class in addition to the pointe class, must be at least 12 years old and have had a minimum of one year experience in a level III class or higher.

Tap 
Theater and Rhythm tap classes are offered to tappers of all ages and levels starting at 7 years old. 

Jazz
TD offers a variety of jazz styles, from Jazz Funk to the unique style of Bob Fosse.

Hip Hop
An urban dance style involving quick, sharp moves and athletic-type stunts. 

Lyrical
Lyrical dance combines the grace of ballet with the modern flair of jazz.  It is known for its emotive fluidity and pairing with contemporary music.  Lyrical students are required to have had at least two years of jazz class.

Latin Jazz
Latin Jazz dance is a combination of Jazz technique with Latin style rhythms, such as Salsa, Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba and Mambo. This is a fun and energetic class mixing Jazz moves with a Latin twist. The students are required to have previous experience in Jazz.

Leaps and Turns
This specialty class concentrates primarily on turning technique to improve turns such as pirouettes, attitude turns, and fouettes.  The class will also focus on improving jumps and leaps including jetes, Russians, and switch leaps.  Students are required to have had at least 2 years of Jazz class.

Musical Theater
This class combines jazz technique and steps with classic Broadway musical scores.  An emphasis is placed on performance, dance character, and confidence on stage.  Musical styles will range from current Broadway hits to classic Bob Fosse.

Dress Code  

This dress code will be strictly enforced.  If a student is not dressed appropriately, the instructor has the right to ask them to sit and observe class.

3 & 4 yr olds
Pink leotard, pink tights, petal skirt (please no tutus), pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes with elastic or Velcro closure 

5 & 6 yr olds in Combo Classes
Black leotard, pink tights, petal skirt (please no tutus), pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes with elastic or Velcro closure 

Ballet
Black leotard, pink or black tights, petal skirt, pink ballet shoes 

Lyrical
Black Leotard, tights, dance shorts, lyrical paws or foot undeez

Jazz/Latin Jazz/Leaps & Turns
Black Leotard or tank top, black jazz pants, black jazz shoes

Tap
Black leotard or tank top, black jazz pants, black tap shoes 

Hip Hop 
Workout or loose-fitting pants (absolutely NO shorts), t-shirt or tank, tennis shoes

Musical Theater 
Leotard, tights, dance shorts, black character shoes with 1 1/2 inch heel (Kerin recommends the Jr. Footlights by Capezio.  It can be found online at dancewearsolutions.com or discountdance.com.) 

• Hair must be secured away from face and off the neck. 

• No jewelry is allowed to be worn during class (stud earrings are ok). 

• Please do not allow your dancer to wear dance shoes outside of the studio. 

• No barefooted dancers unless the instructor/choreographer requires it.
